Fox and Hounds, Main Street, Little Downham

History of the Fox and Hounds

According to Fen and Marshland VIllages, by Anthony Day, in the 1930s Hospital Sunday was in decline in the village. Littleport band is here leading the procession.

Leonard Plumb was landlord of the Fox and and Hounds; it became a private house a few years later. There was a fire at the property in 1974 and it was renovated.
