In 1871 the Daltons were in Sturton Street, in 1861 at 52 Bradmore Street.

“Our Family in Cambridge” by John Osborne states that the school the family attended at would have been St Luke’s, opened in 1874. One anecdote is that Frank Alfred was taken too near the river once by his elder sisters who dropped him in. Frank married Maud in 1890 and in 1891 they were living in Hertford Street.

In 1891 Kathleen Harriet is working as a governess in Riddlesworth Norfolk. According to family sources evidence in the national census, she had an illegitimate baby in the same year, Enid Hope. Enid only survived 14 months but can be found at 89 Searle Street in 1891.
