An archaeological assessment of this site can be found:
In 1992 South Cambridgeshire District Council claimed a partial victory in year long battle to save two clunch barns on this site. (CEN 11.4.1992)
The conservation officer described these barns as being more than 150 years old and of an unusual design. They are built of the clunch which was probably mined at a pit less than half a mile from the site.
