1897 (CDN 2 July 1897): A Broken Toe: Arthur Frost (19), lodging at 94, Gwydir Street, and belonging to St Ives and employed on the Great Eastern Railway, was cleaning an engine in the yard this morning, when a rod fell on his foot, cut through his show, and broke one of his toes. He was taken to Addenbrookes’s Hospital and there attended to.
