120 York Street

Two General Labourer's

This property has been demolished.  It was the last house on that side of York Street, there was then a large plot referred to on the 1910 Land Tax as “Garden” and after that another small terrace of houses on what was called “Lower York Street”.

Number 120 is not on the 1881 Census.

1910

The 1910 Land Tax record shows that this property is owned by Henry George Pope who is living at 104 York Street.   It also shows that a Joseph Henry RYDER is tenant at this property.  The Electoral Register shows that Joseph was only regsitered at this property between 1909 and 1910

1911-1915

Harry Stubbings, 36, general labourer, b. Cambridge

Emily Stubbings, 38, b. Hatherleigh

Harry Walter Stubbings, 11, school, b. Cambridge

Emily and Harry have been married for twelve years and have one child.  The Electoral Register shows the family living here until at least 1915.
