Bakehouse. c.1850. … Built by the Lord of the Manor as a communal bakehouse.

Communal bakehouse on village green Papworth St Agnes January 1974 (MoC563/74)

Dora Tack writes about the bakehouse. It was built in 1815 and used to bake bread for the village. Houses were allocated particular days.
