History of 83 Histon Road

In 1935 this was the home of Fanny E Wrench. Born in 1876 (d.1958), her father Richard was a gardener from Trumpington. In 1881 the family were living in Histon Road but by 1901 Fanny is a cook working for the Addiscombe family in Croydon. In 1910 she is at 23 Cranmer Road in Cambridge where she may also have been employed; this was the home of Rev James F Bethune-Baker, from 1891-1935, Professor of Divinity at the University of Cambridge.

The postcards were sent to her in 1910, circa 1912, 1932 and 1935.
