Cellarers Chequer (Barnwell Priory)

Cellarers Chequer

History of the Cellarer's Chequer

The Cellarers Chequer is one of the few remaining parts of Barnwell Priory. It is a single-vaulted chamber, built between 1213 and 1265, and was probably a kitchen.
