Windrush and a life dedicated to nursing
From Trinidad to Cambridge: by Joyce Browne
Joyce came to England from Trinidad in 1960, responding to requests for people to come to England and train as nurses. After five years in London, Joyce moved to Cambridge with her children, to follow her nursing dream. She dedicated her working life to the NHS, working at Chesterton Hospital, Addenbrooke’s, Brookfield’s and Arthur Rank. This interview tells her story:
