City Surveyor’s Club


Yasume Club for Far East Prisoners of War.

‘Yasume’ means ‘rest’ in Japanese. The club was founded in 1962 after moving from the Joint Services Club in Coldham’s Lane. In 1984 it had 200 members.

It closed in 2008.
