Mrs M A Storey
Down Your Street, 1984, p126: Mrs Wraith’s neighbour, who lived at no. 42 until she died, was “a marvellous old Irish lady called Mrs Aldhouse. She had cooked for the Master of one of the colleges, her husband had been butler at the Union Society. They had met when he was a footman in a house where she was cook. She was a wonderful neighbour, who would even climb over the wall to bring me presents, saying “over the top and the best of luck to you”.
