Phyllis and Reginald Roberson. Reginald was born at no.5 Earl Street.

Leslie Staples’s mother bought the house. The Staples provided lodging for students from Downing College.

Leslie Staples worked as a clerk with Ryder and Amies for 35 years. For the next ten years he was with James Neal, tailors at the corner of Silver Street and Trumpington Street.
