Braybrooke Road area (circa 1960)

Braybrooke Road, Cherry Hinton

History of Braybrooke Road

Braybrooke Road is listed in Kelly’s in 1962 and 1965 but not in 1970. It appears to have disappeared when the area around Teversham Drift was developed.

In 1962 there was an Outer circle of houses numbering (odd) from 1 to 75, and an Inner circle numbering (even) 2 to 28.

In 1957 Henry William Pressnell and his wife Dorothy née Atkins lived at no.7. In 1939 Henry was already married and a General Labourer in the Army Ordnance Service Royal Dock Yard, West Ham. In 1945 the couple were living at 277 Ditton Fields. In 1947, at 98 Paget Road

Henry was born 1892, died in 1959. Dorothy died at Hinton House, SeymourStreet, in 1969.
