History of 26 - 30 High Street, Cherry Hinton

These are the only three houses surviving of the original 19th century properties along this part of the High Street.

1911:

Mr Arthur John  Smith, house shop and bakehouse, 30, baker and confectioner, b Cambridge

Mr William Dykes, cottage, 39, lunatic attendant, b Portsmouth

Mr William Robert Wilson, cottage, 31, lunatic attendant, b Yorks


1935:

26: Arthur J Smith, baker

28: William C Mansfield

30: Mrs H Bushnell


1939:

26: Anne Gager, b 1900

28: Albert Day, b 1901, railway signal and telegraph

30: Mabel Kehl, b 1905

30: Helena Bushnell, b 1882
