Bertie Hopkins: Private 8934, 1st Battalion, Bedfordshire Regiment. Killed in action 7 November 1914. Aged 25. Born, resident and enlisted Cambridge. Son of Mrs. Marion Lowe (formerly Hopkins), of 28 Bermuda Terrace. In 1911 his mother was living at 31 Histon Road. (UK Roll of Honour)
