George Hammond: Private 23341, 1st/4th Battalion, Essex Regiment. Died of wounds at Port Said 24 November 1917. Born Burwell, resident and enlisted Cambridge. Son of Mr. and Mrs. G. Hammond, of 8, Green’s Rd., Victoria Rd.
