98 Hobart Road

History of 98 Hobart Road

Alfred ‘Charlie’ Butler and his wife moved here from 12 Dalton Square. In the 1980s there was a campaign lead by the Cambridge Evening News to help Ivy access her husband when he was in hospital. ‘Charlie’ had served with the Cambridgeshire Regiment and awarded the Military Medal at the Battle of the Somme.

A newspaper clipping featuring headlines and two portraits of an elderly couple, Ivy and Charles Butler.
