History of 30 Silver Street

Reg Coverdale’s reminiscences of Ely are recorded in Ely Memories, 1998. His family moved from London to Littleport in 1915. he moved to Ely around 1923 when asked to work for Harry Unwin, the agricultural builder on Prickwillow Road. Reg would deliver goods all round the region.Around 1930 Reg then went to work for the Ouse Drainage Board.

In 1921 the Coverdales were living on Ely Road in Littleport.
