Four newly discovered eighteenth-century picture of the churches of Ashley and Silverley

In 1752 William Cole commented: There is but one church remaining in this depopulated village, and nothing of the church but the tower, which was formerly a very noble one. It had one of the largest west doors into it I almost ever saw saw for a parish church.
