History of 34 High Street

In 1871 Walter’s father, Joseph,  is a tailor, aged 46, at “End of Little Field” Wilburton


In 1881 Walter Hazell is 12, living with his widowed mother, Eliza, 42, a stocking knitter, in High Street Wilburton

The shop was then run by his son, Harold and family until it closed in 1979. The premises then became a shop with post office.
