In the 1920s the cottage on the left conatined the bakery of Thomas Aitkins. The post office in the middle was run by Horace and Hilda Rush and the garage on te right by Frederick Thomas Ward after Walter Bligh. (See Anthony Day, Fen and Marshland Villages)
