Courthouse, Godmanchester

History of the Courthouse

Godmanchester OS 1901

The path led from the Mill Yard. The Chinese style bridge was erected by Mr Fox and Mr Miles, the bailiffs, designed by J Galier. The Town Hall or Courthouse is in the distance. It was built in 1844 and an upper storey added in 1899.

To the left of the church is the vicarage, demolished in 1926.
