South wing. Late C18 portion is 3 storeys

Home of the Tillard family who had close links with the Baumgartners. In 1834 Philip Tillard married Dr John and Philippa Baumgartner’s first daughter, Julia, and the couple would sometimes live at Island Hall.

Two years after the marriage their second son Philip Edward Tillard was born. He became a barrister and partner in the bank of Vesey, Desborough and Co.
