Manor House, Papworth St Agnes

History of the Manor House

Listed Building

Manor house. c.1585 possibly built for William Mallory (d.1586), plaster cartouches of Mallory arms and initials in hall and chamber.

Dovehouse. c.1700.

The Manor House was described by Dora Tack in 1943 (D Tack, From Bombs to Buckets, 1989)

It was severely damaged by fire on Christmas Day 1953.

It was advertised for sale in 1984.
