George Herbert Cole, b 1868, costumier retired

Hepzibah Grace née Cornwell, b 1862 [sister of Henrietta who married John Aves in 1877]

‘Bert’ was a retired costumier with a shop on Regent’s Street near the University Arms Hotel. He was born in Cambridge in 1868; in 1881 he was living in Cheshire with the Holgate family, as a draper’s apprentice. His parents were Robert William Cole (1844 – 1881), a jeweller, and Jame Elizabeth Hawkes (c.1843 – ?).
