Alfred R Burton

Alfred Burton had 2 children; his daughter Jane and son Christopher remained living at no.79 until 2008 when they sold their family home to us.  Neither Jane nor Chris got married until, in her 60s Jane met, married and moved in with ‘her beloved’ Selwyn.  Chris bought a house in Stone street (we still get mail addressed to them after 13 years!) Our daughter was 2 years old when we bought no.79. Jane kindly gave our daughter her old doll; the doll had only ever live at no.79.  We still have the doll. (Email from FM in 2022].
