History of the Red Lion Farmhouse

14 Ermine Street

Listed Building:

Farmhouse formerly an inn. Early C17. Timber-framed and plastered with painted brick and some weatherboarding.

This formed part of the Rectorial Glebe and was always let to the parsonage, which belonged to the College of Chapter of Windsor.

In 1535 it was let to Simeon Samson who re-let it to William Turpin, who relet it to Edward Chambers of Royston.
