Cambridge Chronicle 21 May 1870, ‘Coton Through The Ages’ quotes a newspaper story which probably revolved around the blacksmith’s shop in the featured photo. Frederick Robinson, fossil [coprolite] digger was committed to prison for a week with hard labour and to pay expenses, for an assault on Thomas Nash aged 70 of Coton.
