‘Coton Through the Ages’ describes the fete at Whitwell in 1838 described in the Cambridge Chronicle  11 August. Mr Hallack decided to hold a party to celebrate the coronation of Queen Victoria.

At 9pm there was a firework display provided by Mr Deck.
