House formerly a farmhouse. Late C15 or early C16 with C19 and C20 alterations. (Historic England)

The moated site at Pond Farm represents one of two medieval (manorial) centres in the village, and was known in 1456 as `le Upende’ and in 1851 as `Great Green’.
