The Forge, 23 High Street, Foxton

History of the Forge

According to Don Challis in Schooldays in Foxton, this was The Forge.

Harry Lawrence was the blacksmith and he worked in a dilapidated barn. Harry’s actual home though seems to have been 26 Council Houses, Church Street, Harston, according to the 1939 register.
