Hatley Park, Tadlow

History of Hatley Park

Listed Building

The parish of Hatley St George takes its name from the St George family, who held the main manor here from the C12 until the mid C17. During this period it is thought that a number of different sites for a manor house were used, until a new one was built by Sir Henry St George on the site immediately before the Civil War, close to, and partly incorporating, the site of the present house (Historic England)

Cottage orné. Mid-late C19.
