Limbery’s / Limberhurst Farm, Horseheath

History of Limbery's

Listed Building

Cottage. Early C17, extended late C17-C18. Renovated. Timber-framed rendered and long straw thatch, half-hipped to east and west ends.

Enid Porter writes in Cambridgeshire Customs and Folklore:

A ghost allegedly haunted Money Lane in Horseheath. It is a local tradition that a former occupant of Limbery’s once did hid some money in the lane and that since his death he returns from time to time to look for his treasure or to see that it is still there.
