The Plough, Little Eversden

History of the Plough

Before 1811: built

1883 – 1906 Charles Flack publican and coal merchant

1960 building still exists

1976 building gone


The Plough is mentioned in E M Barraud’s account of her life as a landgirl in Little Eversden, Set My Hand Upon The Plough, (2024). She says that her cottage was just five minutes from the Plough.
