History of Carriers

Listed building:

Cottage. C1800. Slender timber framing, rendered and tiled, mansard roof with rebuilt red brick stack. Three bay plan and lobby-entry. One storey and attic. Two dormers and two casements on either side of door, all C20. Inside: Small abuttiny hearths rebuilt, with new staircase on site of original. Sunken bay to left hand probably originally for a dairy and later a cellar when the cottage was the Carriers P.H.
