21 Vicarage Avenue, Sawston

History of 21 Vicarage Avenue

Note from RWR 2024:

Francis and Joan White-Robinson lived at 21 Vicarage Avenue from 1961-1989. Francis died in August 1988 followed by Joan in February 1989. They had moved from 15 Gwydir Street following the move of Simplex Dairy Equipment from Cambridge to a new factory in Babraham Road. Initially they lived in the company bungalow in Babraham Road until Francis left the company and went to work for Spicers. Their next-door neighbours were Mr & Mrs Wyman at number 19 and Mr & Mrs Taylor at number 23.
