Heron’s Close

Notes on the history of Heron's Close, Cambridge

Dr Malcolm Heron (1918-1974) set up a unit at Addenbrookes hospital for controlling the spread of hard drugs.

The houses were built by the firms of Crown and Cox in the early 1960s.

(17) The Crown family lived here until 1974. Mr Crown built the house. (family communication)
