Edward Cave Freeman: Rifleman 371004, 1st/8th (City of London) Battalion (Post Office Rifles), London Regiment. Killed in action 19 July 1917. Aged 24. Born, resident and enlisted Cambridge. Son of Thomas and Mary Freeman, of Cambridge. In the 1911 census he was living with his parents, aged 18, an assistant postman, born Cambridge, resident 29 Thoday Street, Cambridge. Buried in OAK DUMP CEMETERY, West-Vlaanderen, Belgium. Plot/Row/Section D. Grave 9. See also Cambridge Guildhall and also Cambridge St Philips (Royal Mail Roll of Honour)
