An Inspector of Police & a railway clerk

1881

Head of Household is Walter G Turrell.  He is 36 years old and works as a Clerk and Inspector of Police.  Walter was born in Holbrook, Suffolk.  He is married to Annie and has three young children.  Annie is 5, Ethel is 3 and William is 1.

1891

In 1891, 25 Kingston Street was home to Henry and Ann Buckle. 41 year old Anne was married to 44 year old Railway clerk Henry Buckle from Warwickshire.

1901

In 1901, 25 Kingston Street is now home to Emma Clark, a 28 year old from Peterborough. She is married to Ernest Clark, a 27 year old working as a Compositor Printer.

1911

By 1911, Emma and Ernest remain at number 25, though Ernest now works a Printer’s reader. They also now have three children: Walter Ernest, aged 9; Nellie Jane, aged 5; and newborn Edna Emma.
