67 Kingston Street

An Engine Fitter & a Watch Repairer

1881

Head of household is William H Rayner, a 28 year old Labourer who was born in Trumpington.  He is married to Lucy, 30, who was originally from Chrishall, Essex.  The couple have three young Cambridge-born children, William is 4, Ernest is 1 and John is just three months.

1891

In 1891, 67 Kingston Street is home to the Harradine Family. George Harradine, a 34 year old Engine Fitter, is married to Mary Harradine, a 35 year old from Steeple Morden. They have two children: Blanche Harradine, aged 3, and newborn Frank. Both Blanche and Frank have their birthplace listed as Steeple Morden, suggesting that the Harradines used to live there before moving to Kingston Street soon after Frank was born.
