army personnel but also they had um a shelter on the green on on the common which was for when the air rates went you could you could go into them and unfortunately I did have to use those shelters one day and that was when the bomb dropped on the Mill Road Bridge and I was on my way home from school and I had to run into the shelters this I'm not even sure the sirens had gone but however I had run into the shelter my mother had started off up Gwydah Street to meet me and she'd got to the top of Gwydah Street actually when the bomb dropped but she heard the aeroplane so low looked up in the air and thought it was oh was milk bottles coming out of that plane whatever is it not realizing obviously that they were bombs and of course when they hit the ground she was i don't know what if she was knocked to the ground but she ended up in the gutter and of course she was very frightened to see what was happening what was happening and where i was she panicked and got all the way down to
