Fowlmere War Memorial

The memorial cost £120, raised by public subscription; the masons were Messrs G Maile & Son Ltd of 367 Euston Road, London. The memorial was dedicated on 10 December 1919, and re-dedicated on 20 September 2000 following cleaning and the addition of a further name.


Revd A C Yorke performed the dedication of the War Memorial in 1919 attended by trumpeters of the Royal Air Force.

Alfred Chamberlain

George Ingrey

Charles Knights

Arthur Sheldrick

Harry Smith

Mark Smith

Frank Ward

Septimus Ward

Albert Wilkinson

Wilfred Maulkin Nash

George Payne (added in 2000)
