Cyril Fox (1923) in ‘The Archaeology of the Cambridge Region’ describes ‘a house at Fox’s Bridge, Comberton, close to the Bourn Brook’ partially explored in 1842. Panted plaster, glass and iron fragments and ‘much pale yellow pottery ornamented with red lines’ was found. Coins ranged from Vespasian (69-79 AD) to Gratian (367-383 AD).
