1941

In 2023 TR wrote: I was born in Flat 2 Harrington House on May 22nd 1941. My father (Erwin Rothbarth) was a member of the Economic faculty. He enlisted in late November 1943 and was killed in action a year later. The family name was changed to Rivers on the instructions of the Army shortly before my father’s unit was sent overseas in early July 1944.
