In 2003 Evelyn Caudle wrote to the Museum with her memories of Mill Road.
I was born in Royston but moved to Cambridge when I was 15 and have lived in the same house in Mill Road for 65 years.
The houses did not have bathrooms and I used to use the bath house in Gwydir Street. One vivd memory is of the milk cart pulled by a horse coming along Coleridge Road opposite the house here. The horse suddenly bolted and ended up with its feet over the railings and just missing our bay window.
