Leonard L Miller married Kate Emily Harding (1889-1968) in 1914. Leonard also joined up with the Yorkshire Reg., no. 242930. Leonard and Kate may well have moved to 15 Ross Street at this time.
1916
Son, Reginald Leonard Miller, born to Leonard and Kate. Leonard sent to France.
1917 Lance Sergeant Stanley Betram Miller was killed 31st Juy 1917 at Passchendaele, aged 27.
Leonard Miller joined 13th Battalion King’s Liverpool Regiment. He was seriously injured in September 1918 and was taken to Abbeville and treated at the Australian Tented Hospital. He died of his injuries around 27th or28th September 1918. At the time of his death his address was 15 Ross Street.
