28 Cyprus Road

History of 28 Cyprus Road

In 1943 this was the home of Reginald David Lanham. Born in Histon in 1909, he died in Southampton in 1982. The card sent to him in 1930 is addressed to the Porters Lodge, Addenbrookes Hospital, which suggests he may have worked there.

In 1935 the house was in the name of Arthur Lanham (b.1884 d.1948), railway servant. In 1911 he had been a farm labourer in Histon; ten years previously he was an inmate at the Calder Farm reform school.
