Aldreth Road, Haddenham

History of Aldreth Road

Aldreth Road was, in 1939, the home of Mabel Freeman, later Demaine, b 1908.

She wrote her reminiscences of life in the village, under the title ‘Reflections of a Country Woman.’ Her memories of Christmas in the village are reprinted in ‘A Fenland Christmas’, by Chris Carling.
