History of 223 Mill Road

Frank Ricketts Casey:  Private 235156, 8th Battalion, Lincolnshire Regiment. Killed in action Tuesday 31st July 1917 in France & Flanders. Age 19. Son of Alfred John and Mary Ann Casey, of 223, Mill Rd., Cambridge. Formerly 4524, Cambridgeshire Regiment. Enlisted Cambridge. Commemorated on YPRES (MENIN GATE) MEMORIAL, Ieper, West-Vlaanderen, Belgium. Panel 21. See also Cambridge Guildhall (Cambridge Gas Roll of Honour) In 1911 the Casey family were living at 1 Hemingford Road.
