Romilly’s editor adds a note for the diarist’s entry of 21st April 1854:
F P Fenner played his first match at Lords in 1832 and cricket for Cambridge town club for 23 years after that. he kept a tobacconist’s and grocery shop (with which he managed to incorporate a gymnasium) at 6 [sic] Market Hill until 1863.
